Brian Cody back for another year with Kilkenny

Brian Cody will continue on as Kilkenny hurling manager.

2017 will be the 62-year-old's nineteenth season in charge, after he was ratified at a meeting of the county's board tonight.

The 18 years to date have garnered a haul of 11 All-Ireland titles.

Last season, however, saw Tipperary defeat the Cats in the final.

Derek Lyng, Michael Dempsey and James McGarry will continue as Cody's selectors.
