Anthony Daly takes up Limerick role

Ex-Dublin hurling manager Anthony Daly has accepted a position as head coach of Limerick’s underage hurling academy.

Daly had been in charge of the Dublin Senior Hurling team for six years before his resignation in September. They won the Leinster title under him in 2013, their first in 52 years.

As a player Daly won two All-Ireland titles with Limerick’s neighbours Clare, in 1995 and 1997, and also three All-Stars.

As head coach of the underage hurling academy, Daly will take responsibility for Limerick’s inter-county hurling teams from U-14 to minor level.

He will also act as a coach to the minor team.
