All-Ireland winner Alan O’Connor back in Cork squad

Alan O’Connor, who won an All-Ireland with the Rebels in 2010, is returning to the Cork football squad.

The 29-year-old stepped back from inter-county football at the end of the 2013 season, having been part of the senior squad since 2008.

But the Evening Echo reports today that O’Connor is returning to the squad, although he will not participate in this weekend’s NFL final against Dublin.

The St Colum’s clubman will bring a wealth of experience to the Cork midfield.
