Kilkenny goalkeeper Eoin Murphy posted two pictures on Twitter yesterday, both showing him beside Henry Shefflin.
The first, taken in 2000, shows Murphy as an overawed schoolboy beside All-Ireland winner Shefflin.
The Kilkenney hero and other team members had brought the Liam McCarthy trophy on a visit to the school.
The second picture shows Murphy in the dressing room after winning the All-Ireland last Saturday with Shefflin, now his teammate, beside him.
14 years ago I got a visit from this man with Liam Mac, last Saturday I helped him win #LaDecima #10 #LongLiveTheKing pic.twitter.com/kesDgR0gEm

Murphy’s pictures, taken 14 years apart, highlight the incredible career of the man who now holds ten All-Ireland medals.
Naturally, Shefflin was self-deprecating in his response.
