Fenlon warns Pats want to be party poopers

Shelbourne manager Pat Fenlon has warned his players that St Patrick's Athletic will be out to spoil their title party at Richmond Park tonight (7.45pm).

Fenlon’s side need just one point from their final match of the season this evening to retain their eircom League title and hold off the challenge of second-placed Cork City, who lie three points back heading into the last game of the campaign.

But the Shels boss warned: “This match is not just a cup-final situation for us, it’s also the same for St Pats. On Friday the whole attention of the League will be on them, along with the TV cameras present. Their players will want to show what they can do and end the season on a high.

"It's in our own hands. If we perform well, we're confident we can beat anybody. That's all we are thinking about."

Shels have a major doubt over the fitness of midfielder Wes Hoolahan, who has been suffering from a stomach bug, while centre-back Dave Rogers is suspended.

Alan Moore is available once again, though, having missed last weekend’s win over Waterford United through suspension while St Pat's are at full strength now that Stephen Quigley has seen out a one-match ban.
