Fallon finds new agent

17/01/2005 - 08:58:21
Former champion jockey Kieren Fallon has split with top agent Ron Anderson just three weeks after arriving to ride in Florida for the winter.

Fallon, who has made a good start to his stint Stateside with three winners on turf at Gulfstream Park despite having had few opportunities so far, will now be looked after by Terry ’Jaws’ Miller.

Anderson also books mounts for Hall Of Fame jockey Jerry Bailey, and initial hopes that the two great riders could work in tandem appear to have rapidly foundered.

“Jerry just didn’t feel comfortable with the situation,” Anderson told www.gulfstreampark.com. “Kieren is a great rider and a great guy, and I’ll work with Jaws to help get him going.”

Miller, who is also representing Canadian-based jockey Patrick Husbands, said: “I had been looking to work with Fallon in the fall, but Ron ended up getting him.

“I think this is going to turn out pretty good. Kieren and Patrick are pretty good friends, and Patrick is fine with this.”

The six-times British champion, who is riding full-time in the US for the first time, has impressed observers and numbers among his winners Angela’s Love for trainer Dale Romans in the Marshua’s River Stakes.
