Drogheda United to play at Hunky Dorys Park
Drogheda United fans will be playing their home matches at Hunky Dorys Park for the next two seasons at least after the club signed a two-year sponsorship deal with the crisp brand.
As well as renaming United Park, the deal will continue to see first and reserve team jerseys and shorts carrying the Hunky Dorys logo.
The value of the sponsorship has not been disclosed.
"As everyone knows, I have always had great faith in Drogheda United and see it now more than ever as a catalyst for hope and inspiration in these recessionary times," said Drogheda United director Vincent Hoey.
"Hunky Dorys have demonstrated their extraordinary commitment to Drogheda United for at least the coming two years and share my vision and belief in our club. Hunky Dorys and Drogheda United have now formed a partnership that I believe will bring us both success".
Ray Coyle, founder and CEO of Largo Foods, added: "It gives me enormous pleasure to be associated with Drogheda United.
"Since Hunky Dorys became jersey sponsor in 2008, I have been struck by the level of commitment, passion and enthusiasm of those running the club. If there's one thing that Hunky Dorys and Drogheda United have in common, it's that both have an appetite for success."
