Doyle unlikely to be fit for Cyprus and Czech matches

Reading striker Kevin Doyle is looking increasingly unlikely to take part in Ireland's upcoming Euro 2008 qualifiers against Cyprus and Czech Republic.

The 23-year-old sat out training in Cyprus today as a result of his ankle injury.

Manager Steve Staunton says he will probably not be ready for Saturday's match in Nicosia, but is improving and will be given every chance to play against the Czech Republic on Wednesday.
