Demon is Sandown possible
21/11/2005 - 11:01:01Racing Demon, a winner at Exeter on his chasing debut, is set to return to action next week.
Henrietta Knight’s five-year-old impressed many when beating Chilling Place and the Grade Two Sodexho Prestige Henry VIII Novices’ Chase at Sandown now looks a likely target.
Knight is also considering the Harry Dutfield Memorial Novices’ Chase back at Exeter on Friday should conditions be unsuitable at Sandown.
She told the Racing Post: “At this stage our preference is for the Henry VIII, but Exeter does offer a suitable alternative. We’ll decide after looking at the likely ground conditions, and the strength of the races.”
Racing Demon is already as low as 8-1 with William Hill for the Arkle Trophy Chase at the Cheltenham Festival in March.
