Controversial draw for rebel army
19/11/2004 - 22:48:53Cork City 1 Bohemians 1
Cork had to settle for second place as this game seemed destined to go against them.
City had a dreadful start, conceding a dubious penalty after just six minutes.
But keeper Michael Devine, who had pulled down Tony Grant, brilliantly parried Kevin Hunt’s spot kick only for Stephen Caffrey to follow up to score.
Billy Woods got City back into it when shooting them level on 79 minutes.
Bohs had substitute David Bracken sent off two minutes later for a second booking but held out for a draw that was of no use to Cork.
