Clare make one change for Tipp meeting
Clare hurling boss Anthony Daly has made just one change to the Clare side that succumbed to Kilkenny in the National League final for this Sunday’s Munster semi-final clash with Tipperary.
Barry Nugent replaces Conor Plunkett at wing-forward as Daly keeps faith with the majority of the team that ran Kilkenny close on the day for 40 minutes, only to be steam-rolled by the frightening Black and Amber machine in the second half.
As always, it will be the job of the Lohan brothers, Frank and Brian, along with Ger O’Grady, to help keep the sliotar away from Davey Fitzerald’s goal, while captain Seanie MacMahon wears his familiar Number Six.
Clare (SHC v Tipperary): D Fitzerald; F Lohan, B Lohan, G O’Grady; A Markham, S MacMahon, G Quinn; B O’Connell, C Lynch; D MacMahon, T Griffin, B Nugent; T Carmody, N Gilligan, A Quinn.
