Chepstow take a look
Officials at Chepstow have called an inspection for 8am tomorrow ahead of Friday’s meeting.
Clerk of the course Keith Ottesen reports the track to be waterlogged in places at present after the lengthy cold snap ended, but the track has also seen a fresh covering of snow this morning.
Ottesen said: “We had 30 centimetres of snow in some places and we have only really been clear since the start of the week.
“We have now had eight millimetres of mostly rain and we have a covering of snow.
“We are waterlogged in places and we have called an inspection for tomorrow morning so we will see what happens.
“This band of weather is due to move out after lunch and we will give it this evening and overnight and then see where we are.
“We will take a view in the morning but the forecast is for a further six to eight millimetres of rain overnight on Thursday into Friday.”
