Chelsea complete Wright-Phillips deal
18/07/2005 - 15:32:50Chelsea have today completed the signing of Shaun Wright-Phillips on a five-year contract from Manchester City.
The 23-year-old had asked City for permission to speak to the Barclays Premiership champions and a fee was agreed between the two clubs yesterday.
Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon said: “We’re delighted that Shaun has joined us. He’ll be a fantastic asset to the team and squad. This carries on the Chelsea policy of investing in young, top English talent.”
