Bronze for Barnes as Zou scrapes through
Paddy Barnes has been defeated by reigning champion Zou Shiming on countback in his men's Olympic light flyweight semi-final at London's ExCel arena after the fight finished 15-15.
The Belfast man had lost the first round 8-5 only to recover well and draw the second 3-3.
He needed a heroic effort to win the final round 7-4 but when the result went to countback, the judges determined Zou, who had defeated Barnes 15-0 at the same stage in 2008, had narrowly edged it out to book a place in the final and leave Barnes with a second bronze medal.
