Bradley mooted for Derry job
The race to become the next Derry senior football manager is on after the County Board executive decided to seek nominations for the position at last Monday night's meeting.
John Brennan has been charge of the Oak Leafers for the past two years, but he has yet to indicate publicly if he wants to continue in the role
He oversaw Derry's disappointing All-Ireland SFC exit to Longford in the first round of the qualifiers, and would have to go through the interview process - something he did not need to do two years ago - to be in the running.
If Brennan bids to remain in place his main rival could be Liam Bradley, the father of current Derry stars Paddy and Eoin Bradley.
Bradley has had a four-year stint with the Antrim senior footballers and this summer's shock defeat of Galway was one of a number of notable successes for the Saffrons under 'Baker'.
Speaking about his managerial future last month after a qualifier loss to Tipperary, Bradley remarked: "It's not about managers - managers come and go. I've no doubt that whether I'm there or not next year, Antrim will still be a force.
"One thing that has happened these last four years, we've given them a bit of credibility and we're able to put it up to most teams now."
It is not certain if Bradley wants to remain at Antrim's helm or the lure of managing his native county might lead the Glenullin clubman to go for the Derry job.
Nonetheless he has emerged as the early favourite for the Oak Leaf post, with the list of other possible contenders including Ireland International Rules manager Anthony Tohill, former Ballinderry and Donegal boss Brian McIver and Sean McGoldrick from Coleraine.
