Beattie may return for West Brom clash

Stoke striker James Beattie could come into contention for the Premier League match against West Ham on Saturday at the Britannia Stadium.

Beattie is making good progress from a thigh injury after having to sit out the defeat by Fulham last weekend.

Manager Tony Pulis said: “We will make a late decision on James – it will be down to him. It will be left until right before kick-off.

“He is doing fine but we are not sure if this game is a week too early for him. We will take a view on it on Saturday.”
