Barton's Terry tweets under review

Footballer Joey Barton could be in trouble with the UK's Attorney General after posting a series of comments online about John Terry ahead of his trial for allegedly racially abusing Anton Ferdinand.
The Queens Park Rangers midfielder posted the remarks on Twitter yesterday after Terry was stripped of the England captaincy.
Barton aired his views then added: “I’ll probably get a letter now from ’the powers that be.’
“If you’re reading this don’t bother.........”
Terry denies the charge and will stand trial in July, only days after Euro 2012 finishes.
Barton later returned to Twitter website and defended his comments on the grounds of free speech.
However a spokesman for Attorney General Dominic Grieve QC, said: “I can confirm the Tweets have been brought to our attention and have been viewed.”
The British Attorney General’s remit includes ensuring defendants facing criminal allegations receive a fair trial.
