Westlife’s Mark Feehily launches solo career

Just as we were wondering what Mark Feehily was up to, he goes and kicks off a solo career.

The former Westlife star has just announced he is currently recording a solo album and is staging an intimate one-off London gig at Scala music, just in time for the launch.

Mark says his new album will be more soulful and very autobiographical.

“It’s always more daunting to write and perform songs that are autobiographical. I tend to write more when I’m feeling down or when something bad happens as it can be the only way to express myself,” he said.

“I’m really looking forward to sharing the new songs with the fans.

The gig will be the first time Mark has performed on stage since Westlife split in 2012.

The performance is set for March 4 next year, and he is perdicted to perform to roughly 1,500 people.
