The lads from U2 surprised a group of New York subway commuters last night, with an impromptu busking session at Grand Central Station.

Over the past week the band have been galavanting around NYC with Jimmy Fallon, prepping for a Tonight Show episode dedicated to them.

Earlier this week a blonde Bono (we know, we know) and Fallon were spotted recreating Bono's Central Park bike fall, which left him with several broken bones, three metal plates and 18 screws inserted into his elbow.

At the time, the accident forced the band to postpone their week-long residency at the show, so we’re taking a wild guess that the skit has something to do with that.

And some sort of van …

The band performed Angel of Harlem on the platform and Jimmy can even be seen clapping along at the sideline.
