There is nothing greater than the joy on a young child's face when they meet their hero and when Charlie Smyth met Rory McIlroy everyone watching the Toy Show melted.
Nine-year-old Charlie Smyth is a golf enthusiast who adores Rory McIlroy and little did he know when he appeared on The Late Late Toy Show last night he would find himself face to face with his golf idol.
Charlie was telling Tubs how Rory won €11.5m and mused aloud that maybe the golf pro would lend him some cash, when the man himself appeared from behind the elaborate set to surprise young Charlie.
Charlie looks overwhelmed with happiness when he met the golf pro and looked delighted when he got to ask Rory about his golf skills as a young boy.
As if all that excitement wasn't enough for the lad to be dealing with, Rory also came bearing gifts, giving Charlie a signed copy of his golf game on xBox and Playstation (He didn't know which one he had) and tickets for him and his family to come and see Rory play in the Irish Open next year.
Finally, young Charlie got some stellar advice from the veteran golfer who told him to believe in himself and don't let anyone tell you can't do something.
Awh, it's just magical, we might have a tear in our eye!
