WATCH: Cate Blanchett shuts down Interviewer's ridiculous question about a cat

Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett lost her cool during an interview on The Project Wednesday night to promote her latest film, Cinderella.

To be fair, we questioned his motives too.

Australian journalist Jonathan Hylan, firstly began the interview by suggesting that they should have shared a beer during their chat.

Cate sternly replied to this by informing him that she “did not drink beers”.

Hyla somehow didn’t detect her tone and ask her "What should I have brought that would have helped break the ice here?"

Blanchett suggested "potato vodka" before attempting to steer things back to her latest film, saying: "Getting back to the movie at hand"

The pair started again, but Hyla clearly hadn't learned his lesson.

He then asked her how her character kept her cat on a lead in the film.

“I tried to put my girlfriend’s cat on a leash and it just never works for me!”

Oh no he didn’t!

“That’s your question? That’s your f*****g question?” Cate fumed.

Appearing to look for help, she then pulled the plug on the interview.

And it didn’t end there, Hyla attempted to salvage the situation with a high-five.

That didn’t end well either.
