TOWIE Ricky on Twitter break after break-up with Jessica

Ricky Rayment is taking a break from Twitter after splitting from Jessica Wright.

'The Only Way Is Essex' star split from his girlfriend of two years on last night's episode of the ITV reality series after she revealed he'd been sending flirty text messages to other women.

After biting back and writing a number of angry messages he has now claimed he'll no longer be using the social networking site.

Gonna come off Twitter for a while. Bye guys

Reacting to the tirade of abuse he tweets he received after the break-up scenes - which were filmed at co-star Jasmin Walia's Diwali party - aired, he refused to apologise for not being "perfect".

He later added:

Meanwhile, Jess has defended her reaction to her ex-boyfriends behaviour and insisted the public still don't know the full story.

Taking to her own Twitter account, she wrote:

I did what I did for the right reasons. I know the WHOLE truth even though its STILL being tried to played down. Unbelievable. MORE LIES
