Justin Timberlake has signed up for 'Trouble with the Curve'.
The 'Social Network' actor will play a pitcher-turned-baseball scout in the film, which will also star Clint Eastwood and Amy Adams.
Clint plays a veteran baseball scout whose health is beginning to fail. Accompanied by his daughter (Adams), he departs on one last trip to search for a potential new star and reconnect with his offspring. Justin's character provides competition to sign the new hopeful, but he also falls for Amy's alter ego.
'The Descendants' actor Matthew Lillard and newcomer Joe Massengill have previously been linked to roles in the movie, though it is currently unclear whether they are still on board.
Robert Lorenz is directing the film from a script written by Randy Brown,
'Trouble with the Curve' is scheduled for release in the US on September 28 but doesn't currently have an Irish release date.
Justin can next be seen alongside Carey Mulligan and Oscar Isaac in the Coen Brothers' 'Inside Llewyn Davis'.
