The stars of Gogglebox Ireland have been revealed

Gogglebox Ireland kicks off this week and so far TV3 have kept everything tight-lipped, until now.

Today the broadcaster revealed some of the families who will be taking to their couches and we’re in for a treat.

First up meet, besties Szymon and Aga who are originally from Poland but are now living in Tallaght.

The pair have been best friends since they met in college 16 years ago. Aga moved to Ireland from Poland in 2004, having completed her Masters Degree in Environmental Protection Science and went on to receive her PHD at UCD.

Simon arrived in 2007 to celebrate Halloween, and never left.

Next it’s the token gal pals, Jamie, Lindsay, Ashley and Grainne.

The self-proclaimed reality TV addicts love their Friday night in which involves the sofa, the telly, a gossip session and copious amounts of white wine - we love them already.

Sisters Lindsay and Ashley spent childhood holidays with Jamie as their mums were best friends and, after Grainne joined the gang, aged 12, they were inseparable.

And finally it’s The Gruffertys from Co. Kildare.

Mum Laura and dad Des met 14 years ago when Des walked into Laura’s hairdressers for a trim and came out with her phone number. Laura owns a hair and beauty salon in the town and won Best Salon in Ireland at the recent Irish Hair and Beauty Awards - which we are bound to hear a lot about.

Laura and Des are joined on the couch by their 12-year-old daughter, Danielle.

Only three more sleeps … but who's counting?

But in case you didn't know, the long-awaited series kicks off on TV3 this Thursday from 9.30 PM.
