She has nearly two million followers on Twitter (that's more than Madonna), 2.5 million on Instagram and more subscribers on Youtube than the population of New Zealand. She's huge news - but do you know Zoella?
Zoe Sugg - Zoella - has been described as her generation’s most influential role model, with more impact on the lives of her followers than One Direction do.
She's one the Youtube’s top vloggers (video bloggers) with her videos being viewed more than a staggering 230 million times.
Zoella gives fashion, make-up, life and relationship tips and advice via her blog and Youtube channel, which she started back in 2009 out of “complete boredom” (though she first vlogged when she was 11).
Zoella and fellow beauty vloggers are just ordinary girls, living ordinary lives filming their thoughts in their bedrooms.
Zoella is also extremely open about her on-going battle with anxiety - her vlog ‘Dealing with Panic Attacks & Anxiety | Zoella’ has been viewed more than two million times.
Although the 24-year-old avoids talking figures, Zoe has just moved into her €3,150-a-month seafront penthouse apartment in Brighton, a long way away from where she grew up in the tiny village of Lacock, Wiltshire.
Some vloggers are said to earn €25,000 a month from advertising alone, not to mention all the other celebrity benefits. Zoe is due to release her first of two fiction novels in November, called ‘A Girl Online’. Many other popular youtubers have released make-up lines, brushes, merchandise and clothing for their viewers.
Zoe has made it onto the cover of the UK’s Company magazine, has appeared on daytime TV programmes such as Loose Women and is currently nominated for a Teen Choice Award alongside her fellow youtuber boyfriend Alfie Deyes (see his pointless blog).
Zoe’s brother Joe has also taken the Internet by storm with more than two million subscribers and one million Twitter followers. The 22-year-old vlogs his daily life and films funny sketches with friends and fellow youtubers.
Ireland’s favourite family vloggers and internet sensations, Jonathan Joly and Anna Saccone - better known as The Sacconejolys - have even adopted Zoe as their ‘babysitter’ since moving from Cork to Surrey last month.
Anna and Jonathan video blog their daily lives and have tens of thousands of viewers. Maybe you're already one of the Sacconejolys "friendliest friends"?
Vlogging is an interweb phenomenon that's only getter bigger. It's already replacing the telly for most teens.
Here are some names this side of the water to watch out for:

Cork based sister of Anna Saccone - Erika Saccone
