Slane 2015 just outdid itself.
Not only are American rock band Foo Fighters set to headline this year's festival, today the supporting acts were added to the list and we are all kinds of excited.
We were informed of the headline act eariler this month as lead singer David Grohl let the cat out of the bag in a surprise announcement on 2FM’s Rick O’Shea show.
“I am allowed to say I do know we are coming to Slane Castle May 30th 2015,” he said.
SWEET F&*&*ING JEEBUS! Dave Grohl has just announced @foofighters are headlining Slane 2015!!!

*jaw drops* We were not expecting that...
MCD today confirmed Foo Fighters will take the headline slot - and also announced that English indie rock band Kaiser Chiefs and our very own Hozier will support.
Over the moon to be featured on the Slane line up with @foofighters and @KaiserChiefs. Can't wait. See you there!!

We are oh so proud of the Bray-born musician here at breaking news towers, from selling out his national tour in the matter of minutes to playing on major US talk shows such as SNL and The Ellen show.
We even think it's likely Hoizer could secure the headliner position in a few years.
Tickets for Slane 2015 go on sale at 9am Monday, December 1 from Ticketmaster; tickets are limited to eight per person.
Fingers on your buttons.
