Steve Harvey apologises to Miss Colombia and it got even more awkward

Remember that awkward moment when comedian Steve Harvey read the wrong name out at last year’s Miss Universe contest?

How could we forget?

Well, believe it or not, it just got a lot more awkward.

The chat show host invited both Miss Universe, Pia Wurtzbach from the Phillipines and runner-up Ariadna Gutierrez from Colombia on his chat show to apologise in person, especially to jilted beauty queen Guiterrez.

Although in an unusual twist it turns out that Miss Colombia had a separate issue to bring up with Harvey - the fact that he has been pronouncing her name wrong all this time.

Oh, Steve.

“You keep making mistakes,” she said to a teary Harvey.

“It’s not Ariana, it’s Ariadna”.

The episode has been broken up into individual clips and uploaded to the show’s YouTube channel.

The first video, where she addresses to name mishap, is titled: ‘Miss Colombia: It was like a nightmare’.

After another apology, Ariadna told the host that he simply needs to “learn how to read cards”.

Thankfully the Colombian beauty then decided to quickly switch up the mood and make a joke of the situation.

“I thought you were going to make a joke, like Oprah,” she giggled.

“You’re Miss Universe, you’re Miss Universe”.

Although after a few more laughs and a lot more memes it was back to the topic in hand.

The 22-year-old chatted about how much the Miss Colombia title meant to her and how proud she is of her country.

She finally went on to tell Harvey that she will not be suing him or taking his mansion.

Ariadna, you're amazing.
