Sinead O’Connor cuts ties with oldest children in new Facebook post

Sinead O’Connor has apparently broken ties with two of her four children, and other named individuals, after the events of this weekend where a post on her Facebook page said she had taken an overdose.

She was found safe and well after that post, and is understood to be receiving treatment.

A new message on her Facebook page today tells two of her children: "I never wanna see you again".

The singer-songwriter, who recently said she had also decided to give up singing, said she had booked into an unnamed hotel in Ireland under an assumed name and added: “The last two nights finished me off. I have taken an overdose. There is no other way to get respect.”

Gardaí at Pearse St station later confirmed the singer had been located "safe and sound" and was receiving medical assistance.
