Sharon not a fan of Kelly's new skull tattoo

Kelly Osbourne's mother Sharon doesn't approve of her new head tattoo.

The 'Fashion Police' co-host, who shaved her luscious locks into a mini purple mohawk style last month, admits her 61-year-old mum isn't fond of her new inking and would prefer her to look cute and girly all the time.

Speaking on 'Live with Kelly & Michael', she said: "I think my mum wants me to look like a little doll."

The 29-year-old star shocked fans last weekend when she revealed on Instagram that she'd had the word 'Stories...' etched onto the left side of her head.

However, the bubbly beauty, who has a number of other tattoos on her body, insists the inking wasn't at all painful and she has suffered worse pain from other designs.

When asked if the tattoo hurt, she replied: "No. My wrist really hurt and the top of my feet really hurt, but this, no."

Kelly won't reveal the meaning behind her new body art, which was completed by artist Dr Woo from popular parlour Shamrock in Hollywood, but insists it will all become clear in the near future.

She said: "It means something special to me that people will find out later."

She said she isn't planning on displaying the tattoo permanently as she insists no one will be able to see it when her hair starts to grow out.
