Nicole Scherzinger has threatened to quit 'The X Factor'.
The 'Poison' singer wants to concentrate on her music career and has hinted that this weekend's grand finale could be the last time we see her as a judge on the ITV1 competition.
She told The Sun newspaper: "I'm really glad I did the show. I don't know if I'll come back next year. End on a high, right? This year has changed my life.
"As an artist, it's put into perspective what I want, how to go about it. People have made me so comfortable and I have to thank you."
Scherzinger is widely considered to be the most popular judge on the panel this year thanks to her exuberant personality and habit of coining phrases like 'Schamazing!', so losing the Pussycat Dolls singer would be a blow for Simon Cowell's flagship show as it heads into its final year.
However, she joked ITV might be able to change her mind if they were to offer her a huge pay rise, laughing: "That's what I'm talking about!"
The 34-year-old star immersed herself in her mentoring duties yesterday as she travelled to Swindon, Wiltshire to visit finalist Jahmene Douglas at home.
Scherzinger wowed the congregation at his local Christian church by duetting with the shy singer, before being shown around the Asda supermarket where he used to work.
Scherzinger - who also mentors finalist James Arthur - said last night: "I've literally been up and down the country but it's been fun supporting my two boys and finding out where they are from."
