Sandler sets his sights on Cruise collaboration

Adam Sandler is making his way through Hollywood’s A list.

After co-starring Jack Nicholson in the comedy Anger Management, he now reportedly wants to work with Tom Cruise in the thriller Collateral.

The Punch-Drunk Love star met with the director, Michael Mann, last week about co-starring in the film, according to Daily Variety.

Sandler wants to play Max, the meek taxi driver who picks up a professional hit man, played by Cruise. The assassin holds him hostage and uses the taxi to take him on his assassination missions.

If Mann agrees, Sandler will then meet with Cruise, who has recently returned from New Zealand where he filmed The Last Samurai.
