The Rose of Tralee festival has said Newbridge cutlery engraved with the O'Sullivan family name displayed during the show is a coincidence.
TheNewbridge Cutlery seen during the programme on Monday night was engraved with the O'Sullivan family name - 24 hours before the winning Rose Hayley O' Sullivan was chosen.
The 25-year-old Texas Rose was last night crowned the 2013 winner after the two night TV extravaganza.
A spokesperson for the Festival says the matter is purely a coincidence adding that the O'Sullivan name is a common family name in Ireland.
A number of eagle eyed TV viewers claim to have put money on Hayley O'Sullivan after noticing the engraving on Monday night.
However Bookmaker Paddy Power said there was no significant money put down on Hayley.
"She was actually the least popular of them (the roses) so it was either a very very tight lipped secret or the conspiracy theory might be a little but off par."
