Robert Pattinson wants Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell to return to 'The X Factor'.

The 'Twilight' star has revealed he is a big fan of the TV talent competition and thinks Girls Aloud beauty Cheryl should return as a mentor on the UK show - which she left in 2010 - and that Simon has "enough money" to fly back and forth for appearances on both the UK and US versions.

Rob told MailOnline: "I would like to see Cheryl back on the UK 'X Factor'. It is never going to be the same now Simon is not there anymore - but having Cheryl back would be good for the show.

"It hasn't been the same since the two of them left - and if there is a chance to get her back Simon should. In fact Simon should do both shows.

"The US Show is midweek and the UK at weekends - come on Simon you have enough money to charter your own plane."

Robert is currently filming 'The Rover' alongside Guy Pearce in South Australia, but rather than going to "cool parties" the 26-year-old actor prefers to settle down and watch an episode of classic British sitcom 'Only Fools and Horses'.

He continued: "It is great filming in Australia - but they are such long days I just chill out at night.

"I know The Hollywood thing is to say that I have been out partying and at all these cool parties - but it just wouldn't be true. I get home after filming and just watch TV online. It is episodes of 'Only Fools And Horses' and 'Fawlty Towers' that keep me going in the evening."
