US rockers My Chemical Romance and British band Enter Shikari will do battle against each other at this year’s Kerrang! rock awards.
Both bands have four nominations, with My Chemical Romance up for Best Single, Album, Video and International Band.
Enter Shikari, who formed in St Albans, Hertfordshire, and only burst on to the rock scene in the last 12 months, are in the running for Best Live Band, Single, Album, and British Band.
Chicago-based Fall Out Boy have three nominations for Best Album, Video and International Band.
British names who have also been nominated for this month’s awards include Funeral For a Friend, Lostprophets, Biffy Clyro and Muse.
Kerrang! deputy editor Daniel Lane said: “It’s... fantastic to see the number of British bands on the nominees list.”
