Miley owns up to lyric's drug meaning

Miley Cyrus has admitted to singing about MDMA.

The 20-year-old star has set the record straight regarding her controversial new single 'We Can't Stop' and the line "dancing with Molly", which is slang for the drug, popularly known as ecstasy.

The feisty singer joked her older fans would understand what she meant and hinted it was obvious from her recent antics.

She told the MailOnline: "It depends who's doing what. If you're aged 10 it's 'Miley', if you know what I'm talking about then you know. I just wanted it to be played on the radio and they've already had to edit it so much.

"I don't think people have a hard time understanding that I've grownup. You can Google me and you know what I'm up to - you know what that lyric is saying."

The video for Miley's new track sees her writhing around half-naked and making out with a doll, but the unedited version is far more risqué and shows the starlet simulating oral sex.

Referencing the recent US George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin shooting case, the former Disney star blasted censorship rules and insisted it's "lame" people can't see her "cute" video in full.

She ranted: "I just think the world is so lame because you can shoot people in a movie and you can let people like Zimmerman off on trial but you can't have someone going like this [stimulates oral sex gesture], that is so dumb to me.

"The world is such a f**ked up place the last thing people need to worry about is my cute little video for 'We Can't Stop', you know what I mean?"
