Madonna has posted a series of photos in her quest to help bring peace in the middle east.
The 'Like A Prayer' hitmaker posted a picture on Instagram saying 'Peace' linking to www.anera.org, an organisation devoted to improving the lives of Palestinian refugees and poor families in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon.
Her full caption read: "Cease fire on both sides! The children of Gaza need our support! www.anera.org #ceasefire #peaceinthemiddleeast #livingforlove".
This follows another Instagram post that the singer put out, comparing flowers to innocent children of Gaza with the caption: "Who has a right to destroy [the children]? No One!!! CEASE FIRE! #peaceinthemiddleeast".
The star subsequently came under criticism from followers who accused singer of supporting Hamas.
She then clarified: "I do not support Hamas! I support human dignity and respect! I support sharing! I support Peace! #ceasefire"
The singer continued similar posts throughout the day with captions such as: “What the world needs now! #messiah”
Coming under more criticism she unsurprisingly hit back with:
“I think this flower is giving me attitude! #unapologeticbitch hayley@absoluteflowers”
Her more recent posts show two men displaying the notable symbols of the Star of David and a Moon and Crescent on their chests with the captions:
“No Separation! We all bleed the same color! #ceasefire #peaceinthemiddleeast #livingforlove”
“Cease Fire ! Inshallah!!! Baruch Hashem!! Praise the Lord! #ceasefireforever #peaceinthemiddleeast #livingforlove”
Inshallah the Arabic for “God Willing” and Herbrew for “Blessed be God”.
