Louis Walsh says that 'X Factor' contestant Paul Akister should audition again next year - as long as he improves his personality and loses some weight.
Despite being a "brilliant singer", the Irish judge sent the 24-year-old pub singer home and chose Luke Friend, Sam Callahan and Nicholas McDonald for his final three in the talent show.
Walsh said: "Paul is amazing, he's an amazing singer, but it's not just about singing. I think Paul should come back next year.
"And in the meantime work on the personality - he can really sing but work on everything else, and lose a little bit of weight as well."
He told his finalists: "You cannot let me down because I sent one brilliant singer home."
His exit has not gone down well with many fans of the show, who have been sending him messages of support, and even starting a campaign to have him reinstated.

Walsh is confident one of his remaining lads will win this year's show with "the best looking guys in the competition" this year.
He said: "Someone's going to go home on Sunday and I don't want it to be any of these three.
"I've got the three best looking guys in the competition, definitely. Kingsland are just OK!
"The last time I had the boys I won the competition, that was series two with Shane Ward.
"They're all pretty different even though they're young guys and I think we're going to surprise everybody."
