Lohan temporarily leaves rehab

Lindsay Lohan temporarily left rehab yesterday.

The troubled actress - who is currently scheduled to remain at the Betty Ford Center until January 3 after failing two court-ordered drugs tests in September - was granted a day pass from the rehabilitation facility yesterday.

Spotted alongside her assistant Eleonore at the star's West Hollywood home, Lohan is believed to have been granted a day out of the sober house on the grounds of "good behaviour", E! Online reports.

However, the 'Machete' star's time outside the confines of the treatment facility was not due to last long, as an insider revealed she was heading back to the Betty Ford Center - which she entered on September 27 - last night.

The source said yesterday: "She is heading back tonight to her home at Betty Ford."

Meanwhile, the 24-year-old actress is reportedly set to meet with her estranged father Michael as part of her court-ordered rehab programme next week.

An insider recently revealed: "Lindsay is now open to working on things with her father. It's a part of her recovery. She's taking things seriously and she's really had a lot of success so far."

Lindsay's continuing legal issues stem from a 2007 conviction for Driving Under the Influence (DUI).
