Lewis Hamilton wants to be a taxi driver when he retires.
The 27-year-old Formula 1 star doesn’t want to be a commentator as he believes he would be more suited to driving a cab, given his racing skills.
He told The Sun newspaper: “Commentary's a bit too difficult. It's not for me when I retire. I want to be a cabbie. I'd get from A to B rather quickly I think, and get a lot of fares in a day!"
Lewis – who recently reignited his relationship with former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger – says he mastered his art when he started go-karting at the tender age of eight.
Talking to the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper he explained: “This is where it all started for me. Go-kart racing is one of my favourite and fondest memories I have. It's where I learnt all my craft.”
Currently Down Under for the Australian Grand Prix, he plans to catch a wave or two using his recently acquired surf skills.
He added: ''I love it here, I absolutely love it here, the weather's fantastic, and I love the way of life here,.
''Everyone generally surfs. I've just started surfing last year in Hawaii, so I've been wanting to do a bit of that this time in Sydney by the beach and play some good golf, because they have some good golf courses here as well.''
