Jonathan Rhys Meyers spotted drinking vodka from the bottle on the streets of London

Jonathan Rhys Meyers has sparked concern after he was pictured looking unrecognisable and drinking straight from a bottle of vodka on the streets of London this week.

The Irish actor has a history of alcohol misuse and has served several stints in rehab.

In 2007 he was arrested at Dublin Airport on charges of public drunkenness and in 2011 he received a suspended sentence and €1,000 fine for threatening to kill three police officers at De Gaulle Airport.

Though despite his struggles with alcohol, the actor continues to score major roles both in Film and on TV.

He recently wrapped on Dracula and has three movies set to be released this year; Stonewall, Damascus Cover and London Town.

Although judging by these shocking photos, it looks like the Cork native has fallen off the wagon.

Since the images have emerged fans have taken to Twitter to show support and express their concern for the actor's welfare.

In December, Meyers proposed to girlfriend Mara Lane after only seven months of dating.
