Frontman Danny O’Donoghue, guitarist Mark Sheehan and drummer Glen Power were in attendance at the press conference in Croke Park and spoke of their excitement at playing the venue - having previously supported U2 there in 2009.
Yesterday Paddy Power were forced to suspend betting on the announcement after a flurry of bets on the band.
The band will be supported by none other than Pharrell Williams.
So will you be getting your tickets?
They go on sale this Thursday and will be priced at €45.
