Horror-punk band Misfits to reunite after 33 years

The trio last performed together on October 29 1983, with Glenn launching his own group Samhain while Doyle and Jerry carried on the band.
Years of bad blood and legal suits over royalties and merchandising rights followed and Doyle and Jerry reached an out-of-court settlement with Glenn in 1995 to continue performing as Misfits.
Glenn and Doyle reunited for shows in 2004 and 2009, but Riot Festival will be the first time all three have shared a stage since their split.
As the poster announcing their reunion states, “They said it would never happen …”
Misfits announced earlier in May on their Facebook page that they would also be releasing an EP called Friday The 13th on June 17.
It will feature “four new horror-punk anthems for the new millennium, each written by founding fiend Jerry Only (bass/vocals) himself! An homage to 80′s era slashers, classic sci-fi and everything in between.”
Riot Fest Denver will be held between September 2 and 4 while Riot Fest Chicago will take place between September 16 and 18.
