Dingle music event Other Voices is to set up camp at Electric Picnic, it was announced today.
The event has been making headlines from Dingle for over 10 years - and has now spread its wings beyond St James Church.
The Other Voices stage will be found nestled under a leafy canopy in the woods of Stradbally Hall - where festival favourites like Trenchtown and Salty Dog will also be appearing.
The 200-year-old St James’ church in Dingle has been the spiritual home of Other Voices since 2002, and it has since spread its wings to Derry, London and now Stradbally.
Other Voices has led to the creation of an international music TV series and the filming of that series subsequently became a music festival, a tourism event in its own right that celebrates the local on a global scale.
In keeping with the ethos of Other Voices, picnickers can expect collaborations and unique performances from Irish and International artists and an eclectic line-up. Specific line-up details won’t be announced, so fans have been told to expect the unexpected.
The Electric Picnic festival music and arts festival takes place from August 29-31, with Portishead, Beck and Outkast set to headline.
Weekend tickets are still available from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide. Sunday day tickets, family camping and campervan tickets are now sold out.
