by Greg Murphy

Ed Sheeran has released his 2018 European and UK tour dates, and he is kicking off in Cork, in the newly developed Páirc Uí Chaoimh stadium.

Not only is it going to be the first stop in his tour, but it also looks like it could be the first concert held in the new stadium.

The 'Galway Girl' singer has announced two dates on May 4 and 5 next summer.

He will also play Galway's Pearse Stadium on May 12 and 13, and Dublin's Pheonix Park on May 16 and 18.

Tickets go on sale on Saturday July 8 at 9am.

Sheeran posted the full list of tour dates on his Instagram this morning.

Sheeran also hinted that there could be more dates to comes on his Twitter account, but we don't yet know if they will include more Irish dates.
