Actress Glenn Close has been so moved by the tragic September 11 terrorist attacks that she's shunning blockbusters and the glamorous Hollywood lifestyle to spend time with her loved ones.
The Fatal Attraction star realised how precious quality time with family and friends is, after witnessing the bereavement and mourning following the collapse of New York's Twin Towers and she has announced her decision to step away from the limelight so she can appreciate her private life.
She says, "My priorities have changed since 9/11.
"I prefer smaller films now and I want to spend time with people I love and let them know. Time is the most precious thing we have."
"I don't really like all the diamonds and glitter of showbusiness. The times I was at the Oscars, I was wearing borrowed diamonds. I thought it was gaudy.
I don't think Hollywood knows what to do with me. Hollywood is all about image."
