The actor had a small role in recently released superhero flick 'Thor: The Dark World' and found himself impressed by the star of the blockbuster.

Although he didn't film any scenes with his namesake, O'Dowd was surprised by the size of the actor when he saw him on set.

Speaking at the premiere of 'The Hardy Bucks Movie' in London's Leicester Square last night, he said: "He's a big dude, which I always find weird, 'cause I'm a very tall guy, and looking at someone at eye level is unusual for me. And he is well built ... I mean, I would eat my breakfast off that!

"I kind of saw Chris walking around sometimes looking like he is in the movie. I think he must have been shooting the same day or whatever and, my God, he's an attractive man."

The movie is the second in the 'Thor' series, which is expected to become a trilogy, but O'Dowd doesn't think he'll be making an appearance in any upcoming 'Thor' films and says his part in 'The Dark World' was very small.

The 'IT Crowd' and 'Bridesmaids' actor said: "I was in for like a minute. I think it was literally a day, so I didn't feel like I had to infiltrate that world."
