Former Spice Girl Emma Bunton has been offered a record-breaking $1.8m (€1.4m) to make an Indian Bollywood movie.

The singer has just spent 10 days in Mumbai, India, filming a British TV documentary on the lives of Bollywood stars.

She met film directors who were reportedly so impressed with her blonde looks, they are now fighting over her.

A source said: "Emma has been offered 100 million rupees to star in a Bollywood film. That's over €1.4m and would be the biggest pay cheque ever written in Bollywood history.

"There have been five offers from directors wanting to sign her. If it fits in with her music schedule, she could start filming in late 2005."
