Nial Breslin, better known as Bressie, lost a tooth on live television last night.

The former Blizzards frontman was enjoying a ‘sucky sweet’ during the first live show of The Voice of Ireland last night, when a molar on the left side of his mouth came out.

Bressie, who was already struggling with a vomiting bug, tweeted about the incident saying it was definitely a new experience for him.

“Poor Bressie was in agony. He was in a bad way to begin with and then to lose a tooth just over half way through the live shows,” a source told the Irish Mirror.

“He had to get really strong pain killers to try and get him through the rest of the show.”

And that wasn’t the only knockout that occurred on the live show as only four out of 12 acts made it through to the live quarter finals.

Sarah Mc Tiernan, Fionn Gardner, Denise Morgan and Niall O’Halloran join Patrick Donaghue, Helena Bradley Bates, Kieran McKillop and Emma Humber in the show's final line up.
