Bowie 'adamant' he will not tour

David Bowie has enough new material for another album.

The 66-year-old singer released a single, 'Where Are We Now?' last week, and his album, 'The Next Day', will follow in March but his producer Tony Visconti says they recorded enough tracks to fill another record in the future.

Tony said: "We actually recorded 29 songs for this album and we did talk of another album, but I don't know where or when."

There has been speculation that the 'Starman' hitmaker will perform live for the first time in several years, but Tony insists his friend was "adamant" during recording sessions that there will be no gigs.

He added: "He's fairly adamant he's never going to perform live again, so it didn't matter.

"One of the guys would say, 'Boy, how are we gonna do all this live?' and David said, 'We're not'. He made a point of saying that all the time."

And the reclusive star has vowed not to do any interviews about his new music.

Tony added to NME magazine: "I think David is fed up with being so public. He told me, 'I'm fed up with interviews, I don't want to do it anymore.'

"We sat with the record label a few weeks ago and they said, 'What about PR?' and he says, 'I'm just releasing it, I'm putting it out on my birthday, that's it.' "
