Big-screen treatment on way for 'Entourage'

'Entourage' is being made into a movie.

Series creator Doug Ellin has finally received the green light to turn the hit TV show into a feature film, which will take place some six months after the events of the show's big finale.

The last episode of the HBO series - which ran from 2004-2011 - saw Hollywood leading man Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) heading towards his wedding day while his neurotic super-agent Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) quit his job to focus on his marriage.

Jeremy teased last year: "We're teed up for a movie in a way that Ari has this conundrum that he's facing which is either to rule the world or to honor his love to his wife."

Doug is on board to direct and has also written the script for Warner Bros., while Deadline reports that the original cast including Kevin Connolly (Eric 'E' Murphy), Kevin Dillon (Johnny Drama) and Jerry Ferrara (Turtle) are currently negotiating deals.

The show's executive producer Mark Wahlberg said in the past that the film version of the movie will involve "sheer craziness" as the gang reunite for one last hurrah.

He said: "People were complaining that episodes were too short. I think a 90-minute movie of sheer craziness - the guys getting back to just being about the guys, you know? Lose the ladies. Go crazy. Give people what they want."

'Entourage' is known for its celebrity cameos and has featured the likes of Mandy Moore, Jessica Alba, Eminem and Matt Damon.
